Ceremonial Grade Matcha

Currently out of stock for 2021, another order will be made from Japan in 2022.

Matcha, grown in Uji, Kyoto.

This 2020 ground Matcha is an intensely rich level of umami, with creamy texture, and very little astringency.

The strong umami notes are expertly balanced and smoothed, with little touch of astringency in the tail.

Astonishing to get such a well rounded matcha, this is well worth savouring.

Check out our matcha blog, to discover exactly what matcha is.

How do I prepare this matcha?

Use 2.5g of matcha to 200ml of water
Bring the water to boil, then leave for 2 minutes, this gives the water a chance to cool to about 80°C.
Add the water to the matcha and whisk until smooth, yes this matcha is so smooth as it is finely ground to Japanese ceremonial grade.

These are intended as a guideline only, everyone is different.

Matcha Storage is very important, our matcha stocks are always stored in a fridge at about 5-20 degrees Celsius.
This ensures the freshness is locked in.
Storing in an airtight container at room temperature away from sunlight will be suitable for daily matcha drinkers.
