Rising Dawn

Rising Dawn, but what is in a name?

These tea leaves were hand picked at dawn by head torch at Slasha Estate

Tea fully made by hand in Slasha estate in India, from picking to drying. No huge industrial drying drums here.

This remarkable new garden growing on virgin soil, mentored by some of India’s most respected tea figures (yes that would be Nalin Modha).
Under the supervision of Nalin, they created tea with leaf picked in the dark.

As with all plants, tea responds to it’s environment, this means that picking the leaf when it’s dark increases certain compounds within the leaf.

But what does it taste like?

Rising Dawn is fascinating, processed as a white tea, such a complex profile, with hints of citrus and melon alongside almost pomegranate sweetness.

Slasha is only two years old. Unravel Tea was their first ever buyer, and I am delighted to be able to bring such a unique tea to you.
